How long did it take you to get good at playing piano? - video long dong silver nu

I like classical music, I want to play in the situation, some of my favorite dong. I took piano lessons as a month when I was a child ... I'm pretty good things in the classroom itself. I support my electronic keyboard and Google Video / YouTube.

How long did it take before he could play decently? Do not expect to play winter wind in the short term ... but I want to play better than Twinkle Twinkle ... and improve coordination on my right to left ... etc. ... or simply be honest.

First poster is correct. You need a real piano, and a qualified teacher. It is impossible to learn the proper technique, you can use for a bit, so if you absolutely no formal training and can not play by ear. Probably it would be several (and I mean 6-10) years of training before you do anything else than playing Fur Elise (and even a level of play is in grade 7).
It depends on your age. When you begin to play later in life and I want to do really well, then I will consider more than one child under 11 years imposed by the parents. If you want to play on the piano, I recommend that you register for courses. Getting to know the "decent" on the stage piano takes about 7 years. All that before, and it is annoying to hear. The current technology rather manifests itself after years of playing, and that's when interesting to hear the parties.
Of course, good is a relative term. As a pianist, always growing, always learning and getting better.

What is the rule for ever? Being able to play Fur Elise? (Unfortunately, this seems to be the rule) in my school

I play the flute (yes, I know, the piano. Compare With only here.) For eight years, and I would say that I am certainly not "good". Of course, I bet I can play better than students in the 4th Elementary School have begun to learn, but I'm not very good. I like it when a lot!

Becoming "good" is something that takes time looooooooong (or extra added for emphasis), and if I were you, I would be teaching. You will not be able to get anywhere without it.

It is very difficult and has several answers.
You can not on a keyboard, great .. the feeling is different.
Decent is a relative term .. seems that the more you learn, the more they will try to improve themselves ... If you hear again and again. The best thing to do, takes lessons with a teacher who knows how to teach and exercise may be necessary with you to help with his left hand. Piano is a wonderful tool and good luck.

I played for 9 years, with lessons. Not sound daunting, but if you do not even have the ambition to try challenging Chopin Winter Wind "Etude op.25 no.11in the coming years will be two things:

"A qualified teacher
"An acoustic piano is not in an electronic keyboard.

I played for nearly forty years and still do not consider myself good. When I Whittle me out-smart time and within budget for the classes again. Especially for me not being honest about the practice and keeps me playing the "old rules".

... Instruction and a structured approach to learning is his friend.
